The situation

Storiva had grown from 500 to 8,000 daily orders in 18 months. Their infrastructure hadn't scaled with them. The platform ran on a single shared server, every flash sale triggered slowdowns, and their Black Friday 2024 campaign ended with four hours of downtime and an estimated €40,000 in lost revenue. On top of that, project status updates required each consultant to fill in separate tracking documents, creating inconsistent data and constant back and forth between teams.

Their development team was also deploying manually, pushing code directly to production, with no staging environment and no rollback process. Every release was a moment of anxiety.

What we found

The stack itself was modern and well-written. The problem was purely infrastructure and process, which meant the fix could be clean and surgical, without a full rewrite.

What we built

We migrated Storiva's platform to a containerised cloud architecture on AWS, with autoscaling groups configured to handle up to 10x their normal traffic without manual intervention. A full CI/CD pipeline replaced the manual deployment process, every code push now runs automated tests, deploys to staging, and requires one-click approval before going live.

We also configured real-time monitoring with alerting thresholds, so the team is notified of anomalies before they become incidents. The entire migration took 8 weeks with zero downtime.

The result

Storiva's next flash sale, three months after the migration, handled peak traffic without a single degradation event. Deployment frequency increased from once a week to multiple times daily. Uptime reached 99.98% in the six months following launch.
